Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
Having worked in the corporate environment for a number of years I experienced what it was like to lose direction in my career. It was losing the ability to play the sport I loved that became my drive to train as a therapist, wanting to support and connect with people during their struggle in navigating the ever changing world around them.
My experience as a therapist has shown me that positive changes can occur for someone when they feel heard, understood, empowered and connected. My aim is to continue to create those conditions that can enhance growth, which supports my feeling that the connection between therapist and client is the most valuable part of the therapy, creating a therapeutic relationship focused on your needs and goals.
Through Sporting Chance I have had the opportunity to work with sporting professionals, supporting them through struggles like anxiety, depression, relationship issues, loss of form or identity and injuries both in sport and in their life away from it.
I currently work with teenagers and adults both in my private practice and at the Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe.
