Supervision

What is Supervision?

Supervision can play a significant role in a therapist’s clinical work and personal well-being, it can be a place to explore vulnerability, fears, ethical dilemmas and challenges in the work, but also to acknowledge the progress made through the therapeutic process. Ultimately, I believe supervision is for growth, however that may feel.

My role in that commitment to growth is to be supportive and challenging with an encouragement that by bringing your whole self, we can look beyond the narrative of your clients and hold a space for the implicit processes that happen when we are relating to another.

Over the past few years I have worked in a variety of settings, developing a private practice working with adults and young people, alongside work in a school, hospital and charity environments. It is this experience that I can call on when understanding the institutional pressures that come with working in these settings and how they can influence the work with clients.

I work to an integrative supervision model which can support multiple theoretical models, within which I have a passion for the humanistic approach, believing that the supervisory and therapeutic relationships are fundamental to the success of the work we do.

Supervision sessions are charged at £55 per hour can be both in person or online, details of which can be found on the contact me page.
